ahahahaha! Where has the time gone.....

Hello,
It has been a very long time since I have last blogged and I am sorry for that. It just seems as though time keeps running away from me and it seems as though I am too gosh darn slow to catch it. Whew!

Let's see since my post, the kids and I went to the Woodland Park Zoo on Lily's actual birthday together. I kept my kids home from school and took Andrew, Lily, Jaden and Reece for a fun filled day exploring wildlife.. We had a great time!

Jay had rotator cuff surgery on his right arm (and yes, he is right handed) and it turned out that the tear in his shoulder was a lot worse than predicted.. After surgery Dr. Huang said to me that Jay had a Massive, Massive tear in his shoulder but the surgery was successful and he should have a full recovery. The unfortunate part is the recovery time.. it will be in excess of 3 months just like it was for my ankle. To make matters worse, Jay fell down a couple of days later and seriously sprained his right ankle too so he has to wear a ankle brace too... so poor guy is stuck in a sling on his right arm and wearing a big ol' brace on his right ankle... Is is taking it all in stride and loves to have people ask if he is all right.. Is comment in return is "I am okay for what is LEFT of me!!" He is in a lot of pain but he is taking it all in stride with the help of some happy pills. =) by the way, Jay and I are frequent guest on Dr. Huang's schedule.. If you ever need a good Ortho he is the man to see.. he is AWESOME and he happens to be where Nikki works so it all works out well.

Speaking of Nikki Her bridal shower was a big success last Saturday!! I had a great time putting this together with her Momma Jacki and Stacey and I think everyone had a good time.. I highly suggest doing a bridal mad libs, it was very funny! Also, the cake game was a good success as well. Only 3 more weeks till the wedding! Wow!

Stacey has moved back in with us this past week coming home from Yakima. She is planning on finishing her RN degree over here and then heading out to the big bad world of nursing. So she has been busy re-establishing herself over here and job seeking as well.

Andrew and Lily are doing very well and are getting ready to end the school year. There last day is June 22nd. They both are doing well and are very anxious for the year to be over.

Reece is also doing well and growing like a weed on fertilizer... As an example, I finally caught on this week that his size 6 1/2 shoes were too small and when I took him get new ones I was surprised... no, I mean shocked to learn that his correct size should have been and 8!!! YIKES! So we traded in our Light up Elmo and Cookie Monster shoes for some new Cars the Movie light up shoes and light up sandals. I feel so horrible that I have been continually smooshing his feet in his old shoes, I had really no idea they were too small, he never complained and they were not hard to put on... I just decided one day to feel where his toes were and low and behold they were crammed at the end... Poor little guy! But now he proudly shows off his new light up car shoes and wants to wear them all the time because if he is not wearing them he will find them and follow you around the house saying "Shoes, Shoes" Shoes Momma, Shoes" oh and then he will bring you your shoes too as a sign of lets go outside.. It is really cute.
Reece has also learned the art of escaping... well out the sliding glass door that is.. he has now learned that he can push a kitchen table chair over to the slider and undo the lock and push it open to free himself to the wonderful outside oasis in the backyard he calls "side" All I can say is thank goodness for a fully fenced backyard! He was sneaky about it too see I needed to take a little bathroom break and he was happily watching Blues Clues and as soon as I was out of sight he must of b-lined it to the chairs, so here I am coming out to join my little one and in some Blues Clues fun time and he is nowhere to be found... All you see is the chair over to the slider and the door cracked open the perfect size for his little body... Once outside he was happily playing on the swingset in the rain.. I definitely have a little monkey on my hands, but loving every minute of it!! He continually pushes the chairs around to make himself taller so they are beginning to find permanent residence behind the locked baby gate in the dining room.. So if your are over and there is no chairs in sight you know why... =)

Well, I should probably get some more zzzzzzz's so I will post more soon..
